Everybody's talking about capitalism, for real?

Unfortunately, the reality is only a distorted picture of some political actors who draw their personal advantage from the general misunderstanding of the circumstances. European states have subdued and infiltrated the large corporations through personnel, laws, taxes and hidden holdings.

NGOs

Criticism of capitalism and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) are 2 sides of the same political phenomenon. Given the ambiguity of the term, it is not surprising that estimates of the worldwide number of NGOs differ. The Internet site "idealist.org" of the organization "Action Without Borders," which is linked to the United Nations, listed nearly 53,000 international NGOs in 150 countries as of mid-April 2006. The United Nations (ECOSOC), on the other hand, assumed as early as 1996 that there were more than 29,000 international NGOs. A universally accepted anti-capitalist basic attitude is the common character of most NGOs. They proceed as a matter of course from the assumption that the Western world lives predominantly in a frivolous, gluttonous and misanthropic capitalism.

Reality - A backdrop

Unfortunately, the reality is only a distorted picture of some political actors who draw their personal advantage from the general misunderstanding of the circumstances. European states have subdued and infiltrated the large corporations through personnel, laws, taxes and hidden holdings. What we are now experiencing in Europe and often in America, too, are major state-owned corporations, similar to the state-owned enterprises in the GDR and the state-owned enterprises in the USSR. What is reflected to the citizen in the media window is merely the backdrop of capitalism. What the NGOs yap at like little coiffed poodles are merely the shadow plays.

This is not capitalism

We pay 70 percent of our income to the state through taxes and duties. With that we have almost reached the level of the GDR shortly before its collapse, it stood there at about 75 percent state quota. We have an almost completely state-run health care system, a state-run pension system, a state-run school system, a state-run university system, nationalized energy companies, nationalized armaments companies, the nationalized railways, a nationalized banking system, nationalized insurance companies, a state-run culture industry, not to mention a state-run money system, state-run theatres throughout, state-run museums, - yes you run out of steam - state-run radio, countless state-owned housing companies, state-owned television, state-owned internet companies, state-owned product regulators, state-owned airports and ports, state-owned shipping as a matter of course, partly state-owned telecommunication companies, Europe-wide state agricultural subsidies in farming and cattle breeding, state-owned subsidized fish farming, state-owned wine, fruit and vegetable growing, state-owned mining, partly state-owned automobile companies and state-owned research companies. Probably more than 6 million state employees in public service, in Germany alone, about 2 million state active civil servants and pay annually about 1.2 million retired civil servants. Probably another 5 million employees distributed among the three state-affiliated mega-corporations of the social industry Caritas, Diakonie and Kirche. Throughout Germany, there are an estimated 60,000 to 80,000 municipal and thus state-owned enterprises, or private companies that depend exclusively on state or municipal contracts. Nobody knows the actual numbers exactly, this unites us with the socialists in the GDR - they had also lost the overview of the state Moloch. Over 65 percent of the regular monthly income of German citizens is paid directly by a state agency or state institution.

Give us this day our daily law

We have 77000 pages of tax laws. Right now you and I are governed by 4000 federal laws with 60000 individual regulations and 5100 regulations with 70000 individual regulations. Including state laws and laws of the European Union probably 350,000 regulations and laws that govern your life right this second.

GAGA

Anyone who talks of unbridled predatory capitalism in the face of these figures is sitting in the basement of the lunatic asylum with sunglasses on. We have a socialist Europe on a par with the GDR in the early 1970s. And for the optimists - at best a cooperism with a public simulation of capitalism. Still many celebrate the so-called "social achievements" and suppress thoughts of possible consequences.

The reality

All redistribution systems have failed because they are less and less able to motivate high performers in the long run. Only economic systems in affluent societies can distribute performance-free "gifts" for a very limited time. In the end, there is always state bankruptcy and probably also disputes between the various social groups. And another lesson is given by a look into the history book of socialism: The basic attitude of the "non-governmental organizations" are then mostly anti-socialist.

The "I" is always better than the "we"!

All collectivist ways of thinking lead to dictatorship. Collectivist are communism, socialism and its "social manifestations", sects and also religions. Whenever there is talk of "we" then the highest alarm is sounded. WE have to save the climate, WE have to worship the only God, WE have to save the banks, WE have to help refugees, WE have to save the world, WE have to fight hunger, WE are responsible for war, rain and air pollution. Each person is only responsible for themselves and their lives. No human being is responsible for the deed of another human being, not even today!
