Finally, a factual video about blockchain technology from a developer's perspective. This mega-hype and this "blockchain will save the world" talk obscures the actual uses that are already feasible today.

In this presentation at the International JavaScript Conference 2018 in Munich, Ingo Rammer explains the technical principles on which blockchain applications are based. For once, it's not about the big trend topics or the next hot cryptocurrency, which have nothing in common with the real software development process. 

Rammer shows the essential differences between private and public blockchains and then moves on to the big topic of smart contracts. What do you need to know to be able to work profitably with a blockchain right now?
